Food Seva to ensure proper nutrition
Education is the key to success, period. Tarang has committed itself to providing education to the needy and under-privileged. Empowering minds with quality education is our motto. We are working on numerous projects to promote night school education. Project ‘Food Seva’ is one of them.
We kick-started ‘Food Seva’ to ensure each and every child was well fed. Proper nutrition is the need of the hour! Young children cannot put through the day on empty stomachs. We can’t expect them to focus on studies without adequate food. Incidentally, lack of food facilities is one of the major reasons behind poor attendance in night schools. Thankfully, food seva proved to be highly effective in addressing this issue. It motivated children to come forward to study. It inspired them to give their best shot at education.
Young children need to be nourished, nurtured and pampered. Young minds are impressionable. They can do wonders with appropriate education and guidance at the right age. Food Seva witnessed dramatic success – it boosted attendance in night schools dramatically.
The prevalence of malnutrition in India is a serious concern. Malnourished children are naturally unable to reach their full potential – mentally and physically. The downtrodden do not have access to quality food, education and other resources. They struggle to earn a livelihood. Food Seva comes into the scenario here. Proper food and education will help the less fortunate stand on their feet. It will make them self-sufficient and self-reliant. We have achieved remarkable results, and we hope to do better.
15th February : Crash course organized for students
A crash course was also conducted for two of our night schools – Samarth Night School and Saneguruji Night School. A variety of subjects were covered in a period of 7 days. The idea was to improve SSC level education. The results were nothing short of phenomenal. We achieved 100 % success.
The credit goes to Siddhesh Jaitapkar and his team for discharging their responsibilities diligently. They did a great job of generating keen interest in SSC students. Students felt inspired to study. In fact, ever since the crash course was introduced, the attendance in our night schools shot up. Students showed active participation and involvement in the crash course. They attended classes with renewed zest and enthusiasm. We were actually surprised by the outcome.
Moreover, there was an increasing demand for the crash course. Students demanded the course be held more often. This motivated us to conduct more courses and cover more subjects.
The mission was accomplished. The crash course was highly effective in boosting the pass percentage. The crash course was introduced to improve the pass percentage of SSC results. It did just that – students received effective training and guidance which helped them perform exceptionally well. The core committee meets on a regular basis to brainstorm possibilities and discuss upcoming events.
